Hi!

Two men near a professional camera setup, one wearing a blue hoodie and cap, the other in a yellow shirt, with lighting equipment in the background.

I'm Taylor D. Adams, the President and Executive Producer of Scrapt Productions, and here’s a story for you…

When I was six years old, my kindergarten class was assigned an art project to make papier-mâché ladybugs. Every kid was told to make the same thing, but I didn’t understand why. Why should we all make the same thing? Rebellious me decided that I did not want to do what everyone else was doing. So instead, I made a yellow rabbit.

The yellow rabbit represents my approach to storytelling—believing that content shouldn't be uniform. Scrapt Productions is about embracing individuality, infusing care into everything we craft and making storytelling a vibrant adventure.

Work hard. Be Kind. Have fun.

be dope. have purpose.

“I just wanna make dope sh*t.”

This was my mantra when I started Scrapt back in 2016. At the time, I walked away from my steady gig as a television producer working in sports news because I was burnt out and creatively depleted. I wanted to explore, learn and help. With those intentions, Scrapt started as a humble media platform for topics such as untold history, local hip-hop and craft beer. But it soon turned into a full-fledged company working on documentaries, educational videos and podcasts. Since inception, the spirit of Scrapt has never gone away, but it has evolved and grown to be a production company that prioritizes care, creativity and connection.

Also, we still just wanna make dope sh*t.
